Our commitment
Frolic Kids exists to help families discover and book children's activities safely. Child safety is the foundation of everything we do. This policy explains how we keep children safe on our platform and what we expect from providers, parents, and ourselves.
1. Blue Card and Working With Children Checks
Every provider on Frolic Kids must hold a current Blue Card (Queensland) or Working With Children Check (WWCC) relevant to their state or territory before their activities go live.
- We verify Blue Card / WWCC status at the time a provider is approved.
- Providers must notify us immediately if their check expires, is suspended, or is cancelled.
- If a provider's check lapses, their listings are paused until a new one is verified.
2. Provider verification
Before listing activities, providers complete a verification process that includes:
- Business name and ABN.
- Blue Card or WWCC number.
- Identity confirmation.
- Credential document upload.
Frolic Kids administrators review each submission. Approval is not automatic — a real person checks every provider.
3. Child Safety Code
All providers must agree to the Frolic Kids Child Safety Code as part of verification. The Code requires providers to:
- Supervise children appropriately for the activity and age group.
- Never be alone with a child in a one-to-one situation unless specifically authorised and supervised.
- Maintain appropriate physical boundaries.
- Report any incident, injury, or child safety concern to Frolic Kids within 24 hours.
- Follow all mandatory reporting obligations under their state or territory law.
- Not photograph children for any purpose other than what the parent has permitted.
4. Emergency contacts and medical information
Parents must provide an emergency contact name and phone number for each child before booking. This information is shared with the provider for the booked session so they can act quickly if a child is injured, becomes ill, or has an allergic reaction.
Parents must also disclose allergies and medical conditions. This information is shared with the provider for the session so they can prepare appropriately.
5. Photo permission
Parents control whether photos of their child may be used in class or camp updates. This setting can be changed at any time in the child's profile. Providers must respect this setting and must not photograph or share images of children whose parents have not granted permission.
6. Incident reporting
If an incident, injury, or child safety concern occurs during a Frolic Kids session:
- The provider must report it to Frolic Kids within 24 hours.
- Frolic Kids will contact the parent and provide support.
- Serious incidents will be reported to the relevant authorities as required by law.
7. Reporting a concern
If you have a child safety concern about a provider, an activity, or anything you have seen on the platform, contact us immediately at support@frolickids.com.au.
If a child is in immediate danger, call 000 (Australian emergency services) first.
8. Account action
We may suspend or remove any provider who:
- Does not hold a current Blue Card / WWCC.
- Breaches the Child Safety Code.
- Receives credible reports of inappropriate conduct.
- Provides false or misleading verification information.
We may also suspend parent accounts that pose a risk to providers or other families.
9. Continuous improvement
We review our child safety practices regularly and update this policy as standards and legislation evolve. We welcome feedback from parents, providers, and child safety experts.
